Who are the team at The Sticky Handshake?
We’re enthusiastic small business owners based in Auckland, New Zealand, who like to make personal connections with other small business owners. We’re also geeks, which means we like to do things online. Some people might say that’s a strange combination, but we don’t mind!
All of us have discovered just how hard it is for small and micro businesses to advertise cost-effectively. We don’t have the budgets that large companies do, even though we’re sometimes competing against them.
Something else we have in common is that we’ve all belonged to various networking groups and experienced the benefits of referral networking. It was there we discovered that, when it comes to promoting yourself, there are few things more effective than great word-of-mouth advertising. So it became obvious to us that connecting with each other was our most powerful tool.
We just needed to find a way to help motivated small business owners like us find each other. A way to use the power of connecting online to make real connections. And then we figured it out. That’s how The Sticky Handshake was born.
